No-Limit Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker contender on the globe by most of the top pros. He was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Jersey before reaching turning one. His papa taught Phil one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to discover whatever he could about the game. He routinely told his grandparents that he was planning on being a professional poker player. He didn’t let the adverse comments from others annihilate his dream of being one of the greatest poker players on the planet.

Phil began competing intently after acquiring a false ID with the name of Jerome. He sharpened his abilities at the casinos in Atlantic City. The beginning few years for Phil were a teaching opportunity and coming away with a win wasn’t a normal thing at the time. Phil made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker when he achieved 2 final tables and came away with his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. At the last table he defeated many of the better known professionals including but not limited to "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He made a decision to take his skills to the successive level and headed out west to Sin City. He continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players in the world. Phil credits his achievements to dedication and an undying love for the game of poker. He says that he’s learning every day and is quite humble about his achievements. Phil knows he makes mistakes every single session of poker and always strives to improve.

Despite the fact that Phil has won some large tournaments, he favors winning money games on a normal basis.
