Poker has become globally famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the croupier announcing "No further bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must either make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original ante, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, plus an amount equal to the initial wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pays chips even with your initial bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
